A Book’s Journey

Her hand brushed against the brightly coloured books on the shelf. She opened one, taking in the delicious aroma of new adventures waiting to be unleashed. Her core bubbled with joy as she strolled leisurely, picking and choosing tomes of all sizes and shades.

She hugged the bag filled with her new prized possessions as she got home. A quick skip brought her and her books to the bedroom table. She neatly stacked them above another stack of books – still waiting for their adventures to be unleashed.

The photo prompt has been given by Susan Rouchard at the Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields and the word prompt (Core) has been given for the Six Sentence Stories hosted by Denise Farley.

  2. Ah, a book hoarder! We all tend to love certain things above all others. For me, it’s my teapots! But I do love books, and have had to discipline myself away from the used bookstore in our town. Too tempting!

    1. Same here 😅 Out of curiosity, do you stack the teapots like the books or do they brew some actual tea?
