“Ahh finally getting to read this book” I say to myself as I relax in my comfy armchair. “A rainy morning, a good book and hot chai, nothing could be better…”
“What are you doing here, it’s raining and that thrilling rainbow ride will be almost empty. We may even get discounted tickets!” I sigh as she ripped the book from my hands, dragging me (again as always) to another ride.

I am much like you, content to be at home with my furkids, a good book, and my writing tablet. Friends who are always on the go can be fun, but they are also tiring. This was a good story I can envision it taking place.

Ah, i remember. Good friends, but the one thing they could not abide was sitting and reading when there was anything else at all to be done.

Your story brings back a memory of a summer day when I was 10. My brother was visiting and he wanted to go swimming. We’d had a storm and there was still some thunder and lightning in the distance, but he was sure we’d be okay. And we were. Plus we had the whole pool to ourselves! ☺

Such a great friendship and yes, the best time to go to the amusement park is when it is lightly raining or just finished!

No, there is NOTHING better to do on a rainy day than read 🙂
Nice telling of how sometimes small interruptions can so drastically alter our day and our mood. Sometimes for the better but sometimes….not!
Nice 6 😀

Perhaps a little communication ahead of time would made it a little easier to accept getting hauled off to the fair. 🙂

Well the weather forecast has never been reliable for a rain warning in advance 😛
