It’s a lovely moonlit night. There’s a gentle breeze, the kids are asleep and my wife’s here beside me; it’s almost romantic.
There’s the next door cat trying again to climb the fence next to my tree. Stupid cat, doesn’t he realise the difference between a short fence and the high branch of a tree? He’s never going reach us, we birds are too smart for him.
Well, I guess we should go to bed or we won’t be able to wake up early tomorrow morning; after all, it’s always the early bird that catches the worm.
The photo prompts have been given by Gah Learner at the Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields and by Jodi McKinney at the Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers (FFfAW). The word prompt (Difference) has been given for Six Sentence Stories at Girlie On The Edge hosted by Denise Farley.
