The Proposal

A gentle knock caused him to glance up. With eager footsteps he swiveled for a final look: cake, check; bouquet, check; ring, double check!

With a flourish of his hand she entered, soft smile and eyes bright with delight…

Ach-CHOO… The mantle almost rocked…

Ach-CHOO… The candles blew out…

Ach-CHOO… The flowers flew in the trash and she was gone with the wind.
