Magical Time-pass

“But what shall we do if the picnic isn’t ready yet?” She scrunched her nose, pulling a loose curl from her forehead.

“Don’t worry, have you ever seen a bored fairy?” her partner replied. Her wings fluttered at an ever-increasing frequency as they sprinkled fairy dust to reveal the doorway.

The girl took a step inside and plopped down on the grass, reading the label of the box beside her.

‘IF BORED, BREAK THE GLASS.’

  3. An imaginative little take! Though I’m worried about the glass breaking..it could take a sinister turn if there were more than 100 words!

  4. The box made me think of Pandora’s box and being bored might be an explanation for Pandora opening (breaking) it although I know little about that tale.
