More Threads, Please

“I’m so pumped to shop for more threads!”

“Don’t forget we’re only here for some Grey wool for the elephant.

“Yes.”

*** 15 minutes later ***

“I think this Orange one will be good for a tiger. Oh and also this Black. I almost forgot, I need White for the tusks…”

Going shopping for hobbies-related items is always so exciting. (Though my elephant will have to wait till I’m done with a few other existing projects. The final stitching and stuffing is just SO tedious.)

The photo prompt has been given by Ted Strutz at the Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields and the word prompt (Pump) has been given for the Six Sentence Stories hosted by Denise Farley.

  1. It sounds like the elephant will have a tiger nearby when they are both finished. May the child who plays with them share in the love of the one who made them.

    1. Let’s see. I was thinking of creating one like ‘Hobbes’, so that may take some time.

    1. I’m glad you like it ☺️ Considering the pace of my other projects, I’m hoping to finish the elephant by the end of the year 🤞🏻

  6. Sounds like a busy life. I’d be stocking up on colourful tiger yarn too – just sticking to grey’s a bit dull.

    1. But I also have limited storage space (it’s also a motivator to finish faster since I can look forward to going thread selecting again 🙃)

  7. It’s all so tempting! I was knitting a teddy bear for my son when he was 5 in knitting group the I moved out of state. Without the other ladies help I never did figure out how to stuff and stitch it up. It remains undone and my son is about to turn 17!

    1. It’s never too late! There are so many YouTube videos now that explain the process very easily. (I learnt how to crochet from there 😀)
