He dusted off the debris and placed his cup on the table. “This place seemed larger when I was a kid.”
A dash on pink caught his eye as he took a sip. He bent down, brushed away the leaves and picked it with a smile.
As the ribbon unwrapped revealing the cheap locket it hid, his eyes misted over. “It was here all along!”
