The Shoe Shop

“I’m out of work and food,” he told the man at the roadside shoe shop. The owner took pity on him and offered him a job.

The man soon won his trust to start looking after the shop in his absence, dealing with suppliers and handling accounts.

Some time later…

Out of the blue, a multi-national took over the shoe shop shocking everyone, including the owner.

  2. Owner must have gotten a fair price. What is he complaining about?

He didn’t. That’s why he too was surprised when the takeover happened.

  3. As multi-nationals take over they shut down small businesses. He is lucky his shop was chosen by the multi-national otherwise his business might have been shut down. Great story!
