Beach Colours

Golden sand, blue sea,
black pebbles & green palm trees.
It’d be a sin not to include them all.

Pink shells, white gulls,
orange crabs & red hulls.
It’d be a shame not to include them all.

Purple umbrellas, yellow deckchairs,
brown beach balls & rainbow beachwear.
It’d be an incomplete painting not including them all.

The photo prompt has been given by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields at the Friday Fictioneers and the word prompt (Sin) has been given for Six Sentence Stories at the GirlieOnTheEdge hosted by Denise Farley.

  2. Dear Bernadette,

I can see it all. And on my recent trip to the beach I did see an orange crab wash up on the shore before skittering back to the water. Lovely picture.

  7. To be honest, I’d prefer it without the deckchairs and beachwear, I see enough of that on the beach across the road from me!!

  10. Lovely balancing of the beauty of nature, the sin and the shame of leaving anything out. And then the tourist invasion…it would indeed be an incomplete picture without them! (Although they sometimes leave a dreadful mess behind in my wee corner of the seaside!)

    1. It’s annoying when they do that 😠 Just imagine how much more better things would be if they learnt to clean up after themselves 😍
