A decision she regretted as she kicked a pebble along the seashore. After so many hair brained ideas, trusting him was a mistake; but the heart has a hard time thinking logically.
Behind, she heard him cursing as he yelled, “Fire!”
“You were supposed to build a bonfire, not start a burning island,” she said, eyes wide.
“At least a passing ship may see it and rescue us?”
