The History of the Pop-Filter*

“I’m tired of people complaining of the popping sounds in my recordings.”

“So?”

“Do something about it!”

“What do you expect me to do? I’m just the studio guy, I only work behind the scenes; figure it out yourself.”

*** The next day: ***

“You just covered the mic with a sock! Why?”

“Marvelous isn’t it? I call it my pop-filter.”

*At least how I imagined it happened.

The word prompt (Marvel) has been given by Denise Farley at the Girlie on the Edge.
