My neighbour told me that she saw Promila at the nearby wholesaler. Armed with curiosity (and a dire need of a new form of entertainment), I rang her doorbell.
“Oh you’re just in time, I’m almost done cooking lunch,” she said as she walked ahead. I followed her only to be hit in the face with a string of garlic; it was then that I realised that there was garlic all over the place, one even attached to the fan with an elastic band.
“What’s with all the garlic around?”
“It’s to keep the virus away.”
“What?”
“Ya, the virus was caused by a bat and garlic keeps vampires away.”

In all fairness, there is some insane logic hind the garlic. Amusing. 😀

It probably would have been more amusing if I wasn’t smacked in the face with a string of garlic.

I see the logic chain there. And that may well be how superstitions start

Hmmm. Never thought of that 🤔.

Dear Bernadette,
I wonder how that will work for her. Thanks for the chuckle.

Well, her house has certainly started smelling garlicky. Not sure if that’s a good thing though.

I can see their logic, if not their common sense! 🙂

I took me a while to see it tbh.

I hope they run that by the “experts.” They’ll buy anything at this point. 😂

I don’t think she asked an expert (unless you’re referring to the wholesaler of course) 😉

I bought a string of garlic today. Well, you never know!
Here’s mine!

Quite honestly, I’m willing to try just about anything. Garlic is better than nothing and it’s often on sale! HA!!

Where? I’ve almost used up the string she gave me by adding it to my food.

Oh! Enjoyed the connection you made from garlic to bat and virus😊🧛🏻Well done.

Although I don’t think a bat caused the virus, I do wonder how effective garlic is against vampires.

It could work, the smell of the house might discourage all visitors who could spread it to her!

Hmmm, maybe that explains why people were avoiding me on the way home 🤔

People are desperate and will try anything or on the other hand avoid doing the things that make the most sense.
Great visualization in this SSS!

Soon to be patented, bottled, and the price jacked up so only the rich can afford it. Amusing story.

Maybe I should create an anti-virus online store and add this as a bestseller before others get in on the action 🤔

Well, certainly worth a try! Besides, if you reek of garlic, you’re going to keep everyone more than 6 feet away!

True that 🤔. Guess it would work (on humans at least).

I worked with a woman who had baked garlic on toast for breakfast most mornings. Garlic the greatest spice of all time……along with ginger.

Wow garlic does wonders, but a wooden stake is best for vampires. Thanks for the chuckle.
