The Aambyville Ice Cream Truck

We heard the balloon pop (an Aambyville tradition of almost 2 decades) and claps as Kathy inaugurated the Aambyville Ice Cream Truck.

“2 bucks a scoop! Introductory offer.” She called out as we lined up for a taste.

I put the spoon of Mango Mint in my mouth and closed my eyes to experience the flavour. And then opened them to see everyone else’s expression, the same as mine.

The ice cream truck did not last but last I heard, Kathy was working on launching another kind of food truck.

The photo prompt has been given by Na’ama Yehuda at the Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields.

In 2019, I had started a series of posts on Aambyville for the A to Z Challenge. While I didn’t complete all 26 days, I can’t help but occasionally revisit the place.

  1. Teehee! Kathy certainly tries hard – but I don’t think I want to sample her next attempt!

    1. Me neither. Though I don’t think I’ll be in town when that happens.

  7. Mango mint might take getting use to. I thought the same about salty chocolate and grew to like it.

    1. Hmmm… Have never tried salty chocolate before. Is it similar to salted caramel?

      1. Yes I think so, weird blend of salty and sweet.

  9. Well, I like mango. I like mint. Maybe not a good pairing. though, and maybe Kathy needs to find a taster before she markets her creations 🙂
