WEP: Only 28 Days Left

January 20, 2019:

I’m sitting in a comfy chair staring at the screen. Only 28 days left…

‘Ping!’ I pull down the notification screen to see that movie download has been completed. I immediately hit play.

February 5, 2019:

Whoosh, just got home. I open my bag and pull out my phone, only to see that HUGE list of things to do. Time to get busy…

February 15, 2019:

Ok, tight deadline. I’m staring at the screen again.

**IDEA!**

February 16, 2019:

Done! My article for WEP February is finally done.

  1. I enjoyed your story. Itโ€™s really short so I read it a few times. I think itโ€™s about the cycle of writing and submitting to WEP or any other blog. Itโ€™s the process of coming up with an idea, writing it out, and then doing it all again, right? In any case, nicely done. Also, be sure to submit your link to the main WEP page in the comments so more people can read your story. http://writeeditpublishnow.blogspot.com/2019/01/wepiwsg-first-challenge-of-2019-sign-up.html

  2. I can relate to this in so many ways! I keep telling myself that I have plenty of time, then I let the deadline sneak up on me anyway. Well done!

  3. Love it! You really do capture the struggle to write, submit, repeat as an unending cycleโ€”including the many distractions that make it hard.

  4. Hi Bernadette – oh how easily we fall into this trap … think we’ve done it as we’ve posted … yet of course more things waiting to be done – let alone the next post … clever take – and thanks for coming by my blog -cheers Hilary

  5. I know this feeling. One down and on to the next one. When I am a ghost I will probably haunt computer labs attempting to write stories.
