“So, if it’s called a TP why is it spelled like that?” asked Promila pointing to the sign hung in front of the Early Americans’ exhibit. “Because it’s always been spelled like that,” answered the already harried guide, hurrying to the next exhibit before she can ask another question.
**An hour later**
A good number of us are looking at an Oriental Antique trunk when we hear a loud crash behind us.
“That’s an ancient chair, you weren’t meant to sit on it,” said the guide in a high pitched voice, looking like he’s about to faint.
Needless to say, I don’t think we are ever gonna be welcomed to that museum again.

The photo prompt has been given by Renee Heath at the Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. The word prompt (Trunk) has been given on Six Sentence Stories at Girlie On The Edge hosted by Denise Farley.
That would be disastrous! But I’m sure it’s happened. Good use of the cue

Well, I’m just happy that the museum had those chairs insured

Oh dear! Some visits are just like that, aren’t they?

I can feel the guide’s pain.

I guess next time we should use the recorded guided sessions instead of the human one

It does happen, no matter how careful patrons are. That’s what insurance is for.

I don’t think I could ever be a museum guide! What you describe in your 6 would be my worst nightmare come true lol Better job for someone who doesn’t think “what if…” lol

Well, maybe if our guide was a ‘what if…’ person, he’d have expected it (& been prepared)

Poor guide! He should have mentioned that in the beginning – exhibits not to be touched and not to be sat down in.

Well he may have… I can’t seem to remember (we missed the first 15 minutes due to heavy traffic)

Ach, now that would be a serious loss to history.

Neither, I have RuPay :p Or maybe I’ll take the option of running.
(RuPay is a card used mainly in India)

That’s too funny. I can see it, some people are like that, a real pain for the guide.

It was a pity. That Oriental Box did seem very interesting.
