A Mad Day in Mackinac

“Ah finally a relaxing morning” I think as I sit back in my deckchair. “Move, MOVE!!!,” shouted a familiar voice as I look up to see my friend careening dangerously on a cycle as other tourists jumped out of the way.

And then came the crash, one that put me in a dilemma. “Should I laugh or go help her?”

The scene looked like this: An upside down bicycle next to a cart fallen sideways and my friend trying to repair a broken mirror from the cart (Did I mention that she’s superstitious too?). Well, I guess I should help her out. That cart-owner does not look too happy.

Today Pegman is in Mackinac Island. Perhaps you’ll join us?

  1. I like the way you put the girl on a bicycle, presumably because there are no cars on the island. She’s obviously not an experienced cyclist!

No she definitely needs to figure out that brakes exist.

  2. Cute scene. It is hard to drag yourself away from that deck chair, even for a friend…

  3. Nice story. You should help your friend. She thinks broken mirror to be bad luck. What about her fall?

  6. What a funny story! I could picture her friend riding the bike at breakneck speed through a group of horrified tourists. You’ve done a great job incorporating both photo prompts.

She will, hopefully (as long as she doesn’t get into trouble again)
