While playing Hide n’ Seek, Robert ran looking for a hiding place. Reaching the end of the garden, he climbed into a little cave.
He came out the other side and lo and behold, there was a mansion, the size of a dollhouse. In front, a pool with cranes and swans and nearby a little forest with lions, deer and bears.
He felt like a giant in this land of tiny things and decided to visit the mansion, perhaps he could get a ‘tiny’ paper and pen to write a letter home. “Don’t touch,” said the little girl who stayed next door (and suddenly appeared with her friends); these are our toys.
The photo prompts have been given by Sandra Crook at the Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields and by Goroyboy at the Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers (FFfAW).
