Me Vs. My Friend

“Ahh finally getting to read this book” I say to myself as I relax in my comfy armchair. “A rainy morning, a good book and hot chai, nothing could be better…”

“Berny! What are you doing here, it’s raining and that trilling rainbow ride will be almost empty. We may even get discounted tickets!” I sigh as she ripped the book from my hands, dragging me (again as always) to another ride.

  1. I am much like you, content to be at home with my furkids, a good book, and my writing tablet. Friends who are always on the go can be fun, but they are also tiring. This was a good story I can envision it taking place.

  2. Your story brings back a memory of a summer day when I was 10. My brother was visiting and he wanted to go swimming. We’d had a storm and there was still some thunder and lightning in the distance, but he was sure we’d be okay. And we were. Plus we had the whole pool to ourselves! ☺

Nice telling of how sometimes small interruptions can so drastically alter our day and our mood. Sometimes for the better but sometimes….not!
