As she was sitting in a restaurant, she overheard a conversation between two women. “Find a rich prince with whom you can ride into the sunset and live happily ever after,” said the older one to the other.
She smiled as a snippet came before her eyes. She had found her prince in her mate; who she would give a lift to work everyday. Surely it was their lengthy conversations and his insect-chasing skills that gave them their happily ever after instead of anything else.

Love the picture prompt! Good six. Not everyone finds a mate.

very cool.
(liked your leaving it to the reader to decide who/what is the mate referred to*)
* my preference is a puppy, as we once had a dog who specialized in hunting crickets. took great pride in her efforts.

Hmmm maybe a dog could have done the job. But was thinking of someone more human

Good thing that she found her prince in her mate but I’m curious as to what he is? He’s good at insect chasing. Great story! I’m just a little confused.

He is certainly human 😀 His skills of chasing away insects are what keeps peace at home

I’m intrigued as to who the Prince is also. I thought at first it was human, and then (because of the photo) that it was a grass hopper. someone suggested puppy and that sounds the most logical with the name Prince and insect catching capabilities. Very good combination of prompts.

Thanks Irene. It’s a human being who can chase away insects & makes sure they don’t scare his lady love

She married an entomologist no doubt. 🙂 Perhaps she works along side of him.
Good story, and great photo.

I doubt about the working part. She doesn’t like insects as far as I know. Thanks for reading 🙂
